Chapter 14, Richard was Feeling Great

Richard grabbed a whiskey and then looked at his cards carefully. He had ten showing a seven hidden. It was one of those tricky hands where depending on how lucky he was feeling he could hit or stay. If he stayed he was almost guaranteed to lose, but if he hit he had a shot. The dealer had seven showing, but there was no way of knowing what he was holding. Oh, decisions… decisions…

He decided to go for it. The dealer laid down a card. It was a four. He’d struck twenty-one for the third time of the night. He smiled and leaned back while he waited for everyone else to build their hands. Finally after they all revealed he won the hand beating the dealer.

“Way to go!” The dealer shouted. She was a beautiful woman with mocha skin who spoke with a Jamaican accent. In her voice the accent sounded sexy as hell. She was continuously casting him flirty glances all night, probably hoping he would tip the servers well for all their hard work. Or it just made her job more fun. Either way it was leaving him with a nice hard on for the evening thus far.

Richard was feeling great. After Christine came to his room and made love to him he felt like he could jump to the moon and run to Mars. She was incredible, by far the most amazing lover he’d ever had. She was so free with her body and she was so enthusiastic, yet able to show restraint when the time called for it. It was like she knew his body better than he did at times. He was a bit rusty. After all it had been a while, but he was proud of the way he’d held his own giving her as good as she gave him. He liked to think she wasn’t faking it all. A woman who enjoyed sex as much as she obviously did, he doubted it. But then again she was a woman on a mission.

She’d been right. Richard was walking around giving off the hungry vibe. Ever since Christine had officially welcomed him to the Swirl Resort he’d felt more confident, more open and he thought he’d seen several women kind of giving him the eye as he was walking around. They must have smelled the approval of another woman still on him.

He was having some fun giving the vibe back but the one woman he wanted to receive that vibe loud and clear was Heather. And as luck would have it she was sitting at the same table that he was.

There were twelve of them at this large table, all of them singles. And basically the same rules of the game applied to them as it did the rest of the room, except it only applied to them within their table. So whoever had the highest chips got to choose who they would be with. Then whoever had the next highest amount of chips was eligible to choose from who was left.
